I went dogsledding with Mad Dogs & Englishmen a couple of weeks ago and it was an absolute amazing experience! We decided on the Mt Nestor Viewpoint half day tour over the regular 2 hour tour and I am really glad that we did. Well worth the extra money as the experience is something you can't miss. We were a small group. 6 people so we had 3 sleds. We helped the guides set up and harness the dogs and then lead the dogs down to the lines. Wow, hard to believe the power of the dogs, I could hardly hold on to the one I lead down. The first part of the trip was out on the Spray Lakes themselves and the views were spectacular. the sun was shining and it was a winter wonderland. The second part of the tour was up in the trees and the trail was really exciting. We had lunch at the viewpoint and spent a half hour learning about the dogs and sport. On the way back I switched with my boyfriend and rode on the back of the sled with the guide and he went in the basket. I even drove the sled most of the way back!! What an experience. The dogs were amazing, the guides were amazing and scenery just beautiful.
