Lake Louise Mountain Resort

Lake Louise, and the famous Chateau Lake Louise occupy a stunning piece of the Canadian Rockies. In this breathtaking setting Lake Louise Mountain Resort is able to combine fantastic scenery, awesome conditions and superb skiing and snowboarding runs.

Approximately 55 minutes (weather permitting) from Canmore it's an easy to reach resort, especially if you fancy trying more than one ski resort while on a winter vacation based in Canmore. Trans-Canada Highway #1 will take you from Canmore directly to Lake Louise, from there it's a simple case of following signs for the resort.

A variety of tickets and ski passes are available: season, full or half day tickets (peak or regular season).

Rental of ski and snowboard equipment is available.

Daycare caters for kids aged 0-6 years, from 8:30am-4:30pm.

  • Vertical rise: 991 metres (3,250 feet)
  • Longest Run: 8km (5 miles)
  • Skiable terrain: 113 marked runs + back bowls over 4,200 acres acres (1,700 hectares)
  • Terrain breakdown: 25% beginner, 45% intermediate, 30% advanced
  • Ski season: November to May

  • Lifts: 1 gondola, 1 6-passenger chair, 3 quad chairs, 1 triple chair, 1 t-bar, 1 poma

The terrain park has been designed for riders and skiers of all abilities with novice, intermediate and family areas as well as some challenging terrain/features for the more experienced.

Both provide hot & cold food and drinks throughout the day, although the menus are limited for the health conscious.
