Library use
Bring your library card with you when you visit the library. If you forget staff will accept alternate ID, but remembering your library card is the best option.
Loan period
You can borrow up to 50 items on your library card, this includes books, audio books, videos, DVDs and CDs, for up to 3 weeks.
If there are special circumstances you can request an extended loan period, but you need to do this when you check your items out.
Renewals
You can renew items in person, by phone or online at www.tracpac.ab.ca as long as they are not on hold for someone else.
Renewal of items is allowed a maximum of 2 times.
Reserves/holds/interlibrary loans
If you want to borrow an item that is not available when you visit, or is not owned by the library, it can be reserved at www.tracpac.ab.ca .
Once the item arrives it will be held for 10 days for collection, after that time the hold will be cancelled.
Overdue items
Fines are due on items that are overdue. Fines accrue at a rate of 10 cents per item per day, to a maximum of $4 per adult item, $2 per children's item and $10 per family/per card.
Returning items
Items can be returned during regular library hours, alternatively they can be left in the 24 hour book drop at the side of the building.
Internet access
The library has 7 computers with internet access, which are available for public use. You do not need membership of the library to use this service, but all children under 15 do need a signed parental permission slip for their use.
You can book 30 minute appointments up to one week in advance. Printing costs 25 cents per page.
